Kuwait City: Deputy Director General of Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) Dr Abdulhamid Al-Hashim disclosed that the fish stock in Kuwait has declined by 80 percent in recent times compared to the previous years, reports Al-Anba daily. He noted some fish species are in danger of extinct due to excessive consumption and environmental changes, citing brown-spotted grouper and silver pomfret.

Kuwait: Oil prices have continued their prolonged slide reaching their lowest level in twelve years, according to a report by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) on Sunday. The Crude has tumbled by more than 30 percent since OPEC held its production ceiling at 30 million barrels per day last November, the NBK said in its weekly Money Market Report.
Kuwait: Minister of Commerce and Industry Yousuf Al-Ali reviewed his ministry’s plan with the ministerial economic committee to control prices if subsidies are lifted and fuel prices are increased. Ali stressed that strict measures would be taken to prevent any unjustified price increases and that special inspection teams would be deployed in various markets and outlets to monitor prices.
