Kuwait: Two Malayali expats from Kuwait bagged theater awards instituted for by the state government body Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi (KSNA), the state academy for the promotion of music and drama, following a drama competition held for the Gulf Malayali Diaspora. Sunil Cherian won the best scriptwriter award once again for penning the play ‘Eee Choottonnu Kathichu Tharuo’ (Would you light this torch?) for Nirbhaya Theatre, Kuwait while Treesa Wilson Chirayath bagged the best actress award for her performance in the same drama. Interestingly, Cherian was chosen for the award for the second year in a row.
