Kuwait: According to consumer protection law no 39/2014, consumers have a right to exchange products or get a refund within 14 days of purchase, the ministry of commerce and industry emphasized yesterday. In a press statement, the ministry pointed out the law allows a consumer to replace or return a defected product within 14 days of purchase (provided that it is not a perishable product), and further states that vendors and suppliers are jointly liable.

Kuwait: Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Maj Gen Abdullah Al-Muhanna instructed all traffic departments to revoke all driving permits (istimara) that were issued before the new traffic law which sets the new rules and conditions to get a driving license. This decision applies to those who did not complete all the procedures of issuing licenses before Dec 7, 2014, the date of the new law’s issuance, as they got their licenses before this date and did not complete the rest of the procedures until after Dec 7, Kuwait Times reported quoting Al Watan.
