The traffic department launched a campaign that covered Kuwait’s six governorates. The campaign resulted in issuing 5,293 traffic citations, 273 vehicles were impounded, a man was arrested on suspicion of carrying drugs, three were held without residency permit, 18 others were detained and 27 juveniles were caught driving without licenses. The campaign was led by Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahd and accompanied by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Fahd AlShuwaei.

Kuwait: More than 1,500 people were arrested during a security campaign held last Saturday at Shuwaikh Industrial area, and led by Interior Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for General Security Affairs Major General Abdel Fattah Al-Ali. Police inspected papers of a total of 3,911 persons during the campaign.

Kuwait: Over four thousand people were arrested during a crackdown on lawbreakers in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh yesterday, but around 3,000 were later released, the Ministry of Interior announced. Out of 4,015 people detained during the campaign, only 1,053 were sent for deportation while the remaining 2,962 were released after their papers were inspected.
