Kuwait: Responding to complaints made by worshippers attending the weekly prayers at the Catholic Church in Kuwait City where traffic police detained 95 of their vehicles for violating traffic rules, security sources stressed that the Ministry of Interior (MoI) was keen on enforcing the law and allowing non-Muslims perform their rituals freely and without obstacles. Notably, the worshippers were fined when they stopped by the church’s gate to drop off their families before parking behind the church building. The traffic police issued tickets for obstructing traffic flow and impounded their vehicles. “We only stopped for seconds to drop off our families,” said the fined worshippers, stressing that they do respect Kuwaiti laws.
