Kuwait: At least two men were killed while three others were injured after a building under construction collapsed in Salmiya this afternoon. The first victim was reportedly pronounced dead upon arrival to Mubarak Hospital. Meanwhile, firefighters removed the second victim's body from under the rubble. The incident happened when a roof collapsed during concrete pouring on the seventh floor, burying five workers under the rubble, the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) said in a statement. And while the immediate causes of the collapse are still under investigations, Colonel Khalil Al-Amir, KFSD Public Relations and Media Department's Director, held the project's contractor responsible for failure to maintain safety and security measures at the site.
