Kuwait City: Recent medical records have shown that one out of every four Kuwaiti adults suffers from diabetes, Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI) said on Sunday. The revelation came at a graduation ceremony of 41 Diploma and Master’s degrees students along with 17 students of vocational courses in the field of diabetes, in conjunction with the Scottish University of Dundee.
Kuwait: Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr Khaled Al-Sahlawi said the ministry is studying the possibility of imposing health insurance on visitors, adding that this proposal was on the agenda of the parliament’s health committee during its meeting last Monday.

The Municipality’s imported foodstuff department yesterday issued a decision mandating all foreign fish and seafood exporters will have to provide health certificates for their exports to Kuwait from the beginning of June 2015. Kuwait Society for Organ Transplantation concluded an organ donation campaign, aimed at the Indian community in collaboration with Father Davis Chiramel, the Chairman of the Kidney Federation of India, and lasted for a week. A press conference held at the society’s headquarters, marked the end of the campaign where Father Chiramel presented more than 2,000 organ donation cards from the Indian community in Kuwait.
