A group of citizens took the initiative to construct private residential units to be rented out newlyweds for KD150 monthly, as part of efforts to help these couples cope with the rising cost of living particularly since the prices of real estate properties continue to soar, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Members of the group, who frequent Abdul Samad Ma’rifi Mosque in Salwa, explained the idea came after noticing the multiplication of donations for the construction of mosques in different areas while only a few worshipers are coming to the mosques.
