Kuwait: Public sector corruption in Kuwait worsened significantly in the last year according to Transparency International. In its annual Corruption Perceptions Index published yesterday, the global corruption watchdog, ranked Kuwait 55 out of 167 countries, dropping it six places from last year’s spot at 49.

New Delhi: Kuwait Ambassador to India Fahad Ahmad Al-Awadi presented his credentials to President of the Indian Republic Pranab Mukherjee, on Friday.

Kuwait Embassy in New Delhi said in a statement to KUNA that the ceremony was held in the Presidential Palace in the capital New Delhi.

Both the sides took stock of the current India-Kuwait relations and explored ways of strengthening it in various sectors.

Kuwait City (KUNA): The government of Kuwait is exerting efforts to protect youth from deviant ideologies, which are falsely linked to Islam, sparked by regional conflicts, and underlined that jihad should be placed in its “proper context” in harmony with Islam’s “noble objectives.” Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea briefed the Cabinet Monday about a fatwa, or religious decree, issued by the Islamic Affairs Ministry’s Iftaa Authority regarding conflicts in the region and how to protect youth from their consequences.
