Kuwait Municipality destroys two tons of rotten food

Kuwait Municipality damaged here on Wednesday two tons of food not suitable for human consumption, as it was seized during the inspection campaigns in Wafra camping area, with security forces backup.

Head of Ahmadi Municipality's emergency team Mishal Aba Al-Safi said in press remarks that the team confiscated the spoiled food at unlicensed grocery store in Wafra desert area.

The confiscated food was transferred to the authorized impounding area, while six unlicensed groceries were revoked.

The inspection campaigns will continue during all week days to protect the public health and impose the law, Aba Al-Safi affirmed.

The emergency teams at Kuwait Municipality are keen on enforcing the law, calling on locals and expatriates to cooperate with the authorities by informing about any expired food or other form of violation on that matter by calling the hot line 139.
